History

Caprock Partners is a Lubbock-based family office led by Charlie Hamilton, built on more than three decades of experience across West Texas. Rooted in faith, relationships, and long-term thinking, the company has grown with a belief that land is more than an investment. It is an opportunity to shape how people live, where businesses grow, and how communities flourish for generations to come.

Caprock Development serves as the development entity of Caprock Partners, focused on identifying and creating thoughtful communities in emerging markets across Texas. With a stewardship-driven approach, the company exists to responsibly develop places where people, businesses, and families can grow together.

In West Texas, Caprock Development operates as Lubbock Land Company, one of the region’s most established real estate development firms. Since 1987, Lubbock Land Company has helped shape the growth of Lubbock through the development of more than 15 residential, commercial, and mixed-use communities.

Our work is rooted in the belief that development is about more than land. It is about building neighborhoods people are proud to call home, creating lasting partnerships, and investing in the future of the communities we serve.
